I love how this little family is marching in there in size order! I wonder what that kid has that shovel for, he is nowhere near a beach, or anything worthy of digging.

Maybe now you can see the object taking shape?

I can’t decide if I like yesterday’s image or this one better. I guess it depends on one’s mood because I gave this one 3 starts and yesterday’s 2 in Aperture, but now I think I like yesterday’s better.

Can you tell what this is? Yes, there’s loads of clues around the page; I’m not that intent on hiding it from you!

I actually took this one mid-last year. Not sure why I didn’t post it because I quite like the texture.

Yep, more fireworks!

I just love the crackling sound those crackle/sparkle fireworks make! They came out unexpectedly in the photograph, but nicely complimented by the blue one, I thought. What do you think?

This is the second fireworks shot I’m posting from this year’s Granny Smith Festival. The portrait shots were definitely better framed than the landscape one.

I love this one! I have no idea why or how the light trails are all bumpy like that, but I’m sure it has nothing to do with camera shake or settings; that particular firework was actually sporadic in the way it sparked. Totally cool!

It’s that time of year again! My attempts at photographing the fireworks this year were somewhat more successful than last year, I think you’ll agree. A significant part of that was arriving on time and setting up my tripod, rather than getting there after the fireworks start and trying to photograph them while running down the street.

This was the first good image I got before I decided turning my camera to a portrait framing was a much better option. This one is pretty much at the start of the fireworks and even though the framing is far from perfect, I kinda like it: I think it’s all the colours.
