I took this half way through the year at Central Station. Those banners fly all around Sydney advertising the next big thing. The clock tower keeps remarkably good time for a clock above the railway.

What do you get when you put a bunch of guys in a room with Bon Jovi playing? A sing-along and some funny facial expressions!

The Red Box is where we had WordCamp Australia 2008 and I believe it’s where Strings Attached rehearse, maybe even perform. It is pretty much a red box, but it’s quite a cool space.

Hung out with the folks from CiS from my uni for a picnic at North Sydney. It was a very nice unwind after the interview with my thesis markers. We were in Bradfield park; very nice spot! Even though it looks cloudy it was a fairly pleasant day to be outside.

I took this in Chatswood a couple of weeks ago. The top of the tower was in the clouds, just slightly. These towers could be considered monstrous in our leafy suburbs, but from certain angles they’re kind of interesting.

This was taken from the shelter of my balcony last week during a fantastic storm.
It was the only really solid shot I got, a couple of others had faint cracks, and I got one good one at the very corner of a shot. Satisfying to get any at all though. Patience pays off!

I really like this photo from the other night. Loving the 50mm for taking shots of people and the blue walls and lights in the pub we were in were quite nice.

I really like this one. The lights in the venue were terrible, except the ones pointed on the cake.
Very elegant cake too.

I had hoped to get set up early to try my hand at some fireworks photography, after the mistake of using ISO1600 at New Year’s. However, I was running way late and ended up doing hand-held.
I kinda like the tree in this one.

Finally posting something new!
I’ve actually taken a lot of photos this year, but I haven’t had time to process them. I’m testing out Aperture at the moment. I really like it and it really speeds things up.
I took this the other night, it was surprisingly bright and foggy at midnight. There’s one I like more, [...]

Alamo Square, San Francisco.
I’m disappointed now that I didn’t take more photos in RAW while in SF. I was afraid of it at the time because I didn’t know how to process them. This one wasn’t taken in RAW. Feel free to suggest how you would make this a better shot!
