Life has been pretty crazy lately. Uni is busy and I’ve been trying to be a better friend/family member too. I’ve been doing a bit of CSS (restyling Thesis) for some mental escape and I’ve started writing a couple of posts, but haven’t finished and polished them yet.

So, this is a bit of an update on my life through the lens of my phone’s camera. The Sony Ericsson S500i has a 2MP camera, but the photos tend to come out with a lot of noise and a sort of linen-like texture on them. Every now and again you get a good one though (there’s only one or two of those in this lot).

I’ve found myself spending too much time at uni after dark. The walkway is quite pretty when it’s lit up, but I’d prefer to be at home eating dinner!

I got my hair cut and now it’s doing some curly thing. I kinda like it.

We went to a wedding recently and there were a few guys that work for Google there. One of them is my husband. Apart from Google offices it’s the most Google employees I’ve seen in one place. :P

I’m not really into this whole tights thing. There’s no way I could pull it off. I think those that do must be quite confident in their dress code.

Ooh, I also wrote this post using Google Chrome! Subtle, yet spiffy things include the loading bar at the bottom left, which disappears when the page is loaded (and appears when you hover one links etc), and the home page which shows you your most recent/popular websites. I like the simplicity. Although, you can’t set the font to render with anti-aliasing so the font rendering is a little dodgy.
Also, for those who keep whinging about how it doesn’t have addons and they can’t live without Firebug, right click on the page and select Inspect Element. It doesn’t edit the page yet, but I’m sure it will be able to soon.

This week’s renter is Techzoogle. It’s a relatively new blog about various tech news. It has a sleek design and nice bite-sized articles. Some of the news you may have heard about and some you might not have. I quite liked the article about Booq MacBook Pro bags. My first thought was “They could have made them look less like a computer bag.” My main complaint against computer bags is that they look like they have a computer in them – prime target for stealing. These bags are pretty spiffy though… you can go and read why.

Even if you’re not a tech-nerd you might want to head on over and check out some of the articles on Techzoogle anyway because if you’re reading this you’re obviously connected to the internet and you may find some things that make your internet experience even better. :grin:

Has anyone noticed how BlogExplosion renting has gotten seriously lame? Don’t get me wrong – you should totally visit my renter Latibug, I like her writing and she just changed her template.
I just went to see if I could rent a blog and it was seriously slim pickings. What is up with people renting out their blogs for 50 credits when the last few weeks they gave less than ten unique clicks?! Here I am renting out my spare room for 25 credits and giving about 35 unique clicks a week. I must have the greatest readership ever! I don’t get that many comments but people click on the spare room. :)

She is also living in Australia and is a molecular biologist – crazy! I live in Australia and am studying molecular biology, she is Indian/Malaysian, where I am not. :) She also likes Fantasy and Sci-Fi and board games. I’ve been a bit slow in saying I have a new renter. Go on over and visit Slightly Drunk. I like his story telling style; although I do feel a little sorry for Patty, but then the upstaging sister provokes a little sympathy as well… go and see what I mean.

My renter this week. I don’t know what it is, Alternati just seems original, with a definite style that’s just nice. Like an adult totally in touch with their inner child or something. It’s funny but not too in love with toilet jokes so that’s cool.

The Lost Girls are renting here this week. This blog is the diary of three girls who left their jobs and boys at home to travel the world for a year. Not only is it an amazing prospect but their blog is beautiful. I don’t know what exactly it is about the writing, it’s passionate without being florally, it’s articulate without going on. This week they were made honorary members of a Maasai tribe, it was a great story.

I’ve only been to one place overseas but perhaps this week I can live vicariously through these girls and their blog. ;)

Aeowolf Online is my new renter. He says some interesting things and includes cool pictures. What more could you want?

I’m pretty tired right now, nearly falling asleep at my desk so that’s all I have to say about this at the moment.
