I’m not really happy with this shot. I think the framing is all wrong and the street sign on the right is annoying, but it was such an interesting sight, and it’s the building I mentioned yesterday that was illuminating the church from across the street.
I took some video of the building changing colours, but it was all a bit of an experiment with my new camera and night photography without a tripod.
What do you think? Is there some kind of crop or something that would redeem this photo, or will it just remain an average capture of a unique sight?

Nice !!!
Yes, very cool… there are some videos on you tube that do more justice.
This is an example of what you can achieve with LED’s and Led mapping.
The installation was done by CCP Concert and Corporate Productions with the technical aid and gear supplied by Show Technology (the company I work for… )
I thought you were from Sydney… what were you doing in Perth? :)
Luca — Oh my goodness! That’s so cool that you know about this. We went up to the building during the day trying to find some evidence of how it was done, but it was very well concealed. I also saw some funky lighting on the Bell Tower one evening. Do you know if it was done for anything in particular? We never found out if it was for something special.
I’m back in Sydney now. My husband had a bit of work there so we went for a bit of a holiday over the long weekend.
The building is the Council House and it’s just part of a project to make Perth brighter and more attractive after hours… The light show is on every night!! from 7pm to 1 am.
Good on you! Perth is a lovely city to relax…
Is that a Kangaroo hopping down the street?
Luca — Thanks for the info! Glad I posted this photo now :-P
Edwin — Wow! You have eyes like a ninja! There were some kangaroo statues out the front of the Government House gardens; looks like one just made it into frame there.
