Then it can be styled, hidden, and manipulated by javascript. The javascript doesn't just render the EXIF data on the fly. The EXIF data retrieval needs to be done on the PHP processing side before the HTML of the page is rendered. This javascript method only manipulates what you've already got displayed by Thesography. If you don't have anything displayed by Thesography yet, it won't do anything.
