pelf, I haven’t had any trouble in my dealings with Virgin. They seem to be the most useful ones around here, although I have had to wait quite a while on the phone for them.

Gregory, heh, only if you have Telstra over there. The outright phones are locked to them here!

Don’t even bother to get me started with our Malaysian telcos, though I’d add it isn’t fair to generalize all telcos. There are also telcos whose support and service are good :D
