Wallpaper feature on Smashing Magazine

I was very excited when I heard that my wallpaper would be featured on Smashing Magazine’s April Calendar Wallpaper post! I decided to contain my excitement until the post came out and I could point you to it.
There’s some great stuff there. Very cool idea to incorporate a calendar into a wallpaper: it’s practical and it can be a nice feature by itself.
Happy April!

Too cool! How did I miss this post?!
How did they find your wallpaper? Did you submit it? Did they find it on dA? Or…?

I submitted it – I made it for that. I guess it’s not so much a competition because you don’t win anything, but they asked for people to make calendar wallpapers and submit them before the end of each month.

Perhaps you don’t get a physical prize, but for a blogger, traffic from a site like SM is just about as good! So they announce it at the end of the month? Like at the end of a post? I’ve never seen it before. Of course, I usually don’t read SM so much as look at all the pretty pictures

I agree, increase in traffic is a good reward. Although I didn’t notice a significant increase… perhaps it was indistinguishable from a spike in StumbleUpon traffic
They announced it in this post. Me too, I often don’t read the whole articles and just look at the pictures
