Because of limitations in the browser you'll have to copy and paste a URL in the widget to thumbs-up a site, except for the last stumbled site. But you can also submit a site (I think doing that thumbs-ups a site) from a button in most browsers. I use SocialMarker to submit sites to StumbleUpon, and other social networks. Visit http://socialmarker.com/ and follow the instructions. You can also use AddThis! for the same. AddThis does the same as SocialMarker except it's easier to use when submitting to one site at the time. Just visit http://addthis.com/ and drag the bookmark button to your bookmarks toolbar. Also, StumbleUpon wants the world to spin around them. They really haven't shown any wish to support other browsers by adding features to their own servers.
