We live in New Zealand and are trying to figure out what one of our plants is. Your photo is the only one we have found on the internet. Did you manage ever find out what it was? Love to hear from you. Also is the root system look like lumpy roots on top of the soil?
Louise — I never really tried to find out what they were, but I just called my Gran and she says she thinks they are Kalanchoe, not sure of the species, but from the photo in that ABC article, that seems about right.

great colours, is this Fuchsia?
I'm afraid I have no idea what this flower is! I think it's probably too small for fuschia. It lives in a hanging basket.
