Has anyone noticed how BlogExplosion renting has gotten seriously lame? Don’t get me wrong – you should totally visit my renter Latibug, I like her writing and she just changed her template.
I just went to see if I could rent a blog and it was seriously slim pickings. What is up with people renting out their blogs for 50 credits when the last few weeks they gave less than ten unique clicks?! Here I am renting out my spare room for 25 credits and giving about 35 unique clicks a week. I must have the greatest readership ever! I don’t get that many comments but people click on the spare room. :)

Yup.
I did Rent My Blog once. I didn’t get many hits from the guy I rented from but he was basically the only one I could choose.
And I think it’s odd anyway. I don’t really like telling people to go see a blog unless I really like it or like the person, ya know? I also don’t like bullying my readers to go somewhere else…So, I only did it once…
You can’t make people click! I just rented my blog to someone and even though I put the ad at the very top of my page and I got a couple hundred visitors during the week (good for a blog barely 1 month old, I think), it only generated 1 click. Is that my fault? No. People apparently just weren’t that interested in his blog. I tried!
I don’t know anything about blog groups or renting. That probably explains why I only get about 25 hits a day. :)
Sure, but after you know that the space only got one click then do you try to rent out again for 50 or 100 credits or do you drop it down to 10 or 20. If you rent it out for a hundred times what it’s worth then shame on you, if you drop it down because you are a reasonable landlord then you’re not included in the group that I’m griping about.
Blogexplosion has really gone from bad to worse.
Maybe it’s a coincidence, ever since they were sold and changed hands, they have gone downhill. I think the whole rent a blog thing has worn off with many people and they just don’t bother, so the quality blogs aren’t there. I have since taken my code down as not only can’t I find the appropraite blogs to rent out to, it has been very slow with loading my site up. I used to get a lot more blog surf visits from Blogexplosion but now it is almost non-existent, even with me putting some credits towards it. I get more from Blogmad.
BTW: you do have the greatest readership ever! ;-)
