At my first primary school, every year just before the easter holidays, we had an easter hat parade. I think that some classes may have chosen to make their hats in class and sometimes we made them at home.
I remember one of my hats, it was more of a bonnet really. I mainly remember it because it was sitting on top of my wardrobe for about 8 years after the parade! It was cute. It was a blue bonnet and on it we had put flowers, little yellow chicks (baby chickens, not jaundice girls) and other things we wanted to associate with easter. No doubt mum helped me make that one, because it was good and she is so creative.
We also had easter hats when I was in preschool. I think it’s obvious that we definitely made these while we were at preschool. My only question is, what the caramel fudge inspired someone to turn this into a hat?!
