Ugh! I have to catch a train and a bus into work and uni everyday. A lot of the time it’s okay; occasionally I drive and that usually turns out well. Sometimes it’s a pain in the backside!

Yesterday I left work at 2:30pm - I wasn’t feeling very well. I then had to wait an hour for a bus because it’s holiday time (much fewer buses are running that route). I saw the bus pull up but it wasn’t ready to open its doors so I kept reading my book. When I realised that it was taking passengers I got up but the bus drove away without me. I was very upset, I waited another half hour before standing up to wait ten more minutes for the next bus.

This morning I got to Central station and was stopped by one of those guys trying to sign me on to give money every month to their charity. I told him that I was only casual at my job and how much money I had — he bid me a good day and a happy new year. I missed my bus. I don’t know if those few moments would have made a difference or not; possibly a sliding doors scenario? There were free shuttle buses going to the university for information day. Since the university is near work near work, I thought it was a good deal. I realised part of the way there that it would stop at the main gate, which it did, which is at the other end of campus to work. So, I had to walk to work with my blistered feet. It’s a very steep hill… bummer!

Tomorrow I’m getting a lift to work!
